At Runes & Romance, we take great care in curating and packing our books and gift boxes. We are committed to providing high-quality products and complying fully with the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product you purchase from us:

Has a major failure

Is significantly different from its description or images

Is not fit for its intended purpose

Does not meet acceptable quality standards
If the failure is major, you may choose a refund or replacement.
If the failure is minor, we may offer a repair, replacement, or refund within a reasonable time.

What Is a Major Failure?

A product is considered to have a major failure if:

You would not have purchased it had you known about the issue

It is unsafe

It is significantly different from the description, sample, or images

It does not do what it was reasonably expected to do and cannot be easily fixed

Damaged in Transit
​
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

A description of the damage

Clear photos of the item and packaging
We will assess the issue and arrange a replacement or refund where required under Australian Consumer Law.

Change of Mind
​
We do not offer refunds for change of mind, including:

Selecting the wrong item

Deciding you no longer want the product

Ordering incorrectly
This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Gift Boxes & Limited Edition Items

Due to the curated and limited nature of our gift boxes and special editions:

We are unable to offer change-of-mind returns on these items

If a product within a gift box is faulty or does not meet Australian Consumer Law guarantees, we will arrange an appropriate remedy (replacement, repair, or refund)

Return Shipping
​

If an item is faulty or has a major failure, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs

If the issue is not covered under Australian Consumer Law, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer

Exclusions

This policy does not apply to:

Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or abnormal use

Normal wear and tear

Damage resulting from incorrect care or storage
